Vimos algunos saludos comunes en español y también uno típico de Andalucía, el “saludo por bulerías”. We saw some common greetings in Spanish and also a tradicional one from Andalucía, the greeting “by bulerías”:

Vimos que algunas letras se pronuncian diferente en español y en inglés. El objetivo de esta primera clase es familiarizarse con ellas y empezar a pronunciarlas bien. El próximo martes seguiremos trabajando con el abecedario. We saw that some letters are pronounced  differently in Spanish and English. The aim of our first class is to become familiar with them and to start pronouncing them properly. On Tuesday we will keep working on the alphabet.

Como deberes, os di esta hoja con Ejercicios para trabajar con los nombres de las letras y algunos saludos y despedidas. As homework, I gave you these Exercises to work on the names of the letters and some greetings and good-byes.

• Una canción con todas las vocales. A song with the 5 vowels.
• El sonido de las vocales y de algunas consonantes más difíciles. The sound of vowels and some tricky consonants.
• Saludos. Greetings.

¿Demasiadas cosas? ¡Espero que no! Ahora tenéis material para dedicar unos minutos cada día. No os asustéis. Aprender un idioma es un largo camino, pero también un camino bello y lleno de sorpresas. Y todos los caminos se hacen pasito  a pasito. Too many things? I hope not. Now you have material enough to practise for some minutes every day. Do not be scared. Learning a language is a long road, but also a beautiful road full of surprises. And all roads are done step by step.
